The event ran from 5-7 pm with a number of activities  – sleigh ride, cookie decorating, class performances, selfies with Santa and Mrs. Claus to name a few. Elmwood Principal Burns and Assistant Principal Ledda graciously allowed me to join them greeting families at the school entrance to hand out activity passports.

Day 2 of “There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays” was excellent, with several of the same songs now performed by Grades 3-6.  A couple of fantastic solo performances, and some very nice videos of students explaining what they best like about their favorite holiday.  Well done!

Wow! Mr. Dukerts and the Rio staff put on an amazing three shows this evening for over 1000  parents and family. First the Grade 3-6 performed Party in a Pear Tree. Next Grades 3-4 offered Holiday Windows. Finally, Christmas with the Grumps was performed by Grades 1-2.  In each show, numerous students performed speaking roles, with group songs and dance. Spectacular!  Thanks for the warm welcome from Principal Polowy and the rest of the Rio team.
